This week's brewery matchup will focus on the 2012 season opener and features Deep Ellum Brewing Company versus Brooklyn Brewery. This will be a great matchup but Deep Ellum is a definite underdog. They will be going up against Garret Oliver who is perhaps the best known beer geek in the world and his incredible beers and food pairings. But don't underestimate Deep Ellum and edgy offerings like a Cherry Chocolate Double Brown Stout or a rye pilsner!

Here are the results of the NFL/craft beer preseason polls. There were a few ties along the way but I used BeerAdvocate brewery ratings to help break the ties.
From here on out, I will be posting the team/brewery match ups each week for you to help pick the superior brewery. Just to be clear, these polls have nothing to do with the athletic or strategic ability of any NFL team. You are to vote on which brewery you think has the best beers. Pretty simple. The polls will close before each game and at the end of each week I will recap the predictive abilities of these polls.
