While this list isn't in any particular order, I'd have to say that Scrooged is my favorite Christmas movie of all and Wychwood Brewery nailed this pairing with Bah Humbug! A Christmas ale full of spices and just the right amount of alcohol to fuel any reminiscing about Christmases past, or put you down for a long winters nap. Where you'll no doubt be dreaming about Christmases future.

Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is sure to become a classic in your family as it did in mine. This movie is every bit as good as the name suggests, however, this beer pairing will make it even better if you can believe it. At one time, early in my beer drinking career, Samichlaus Bier at 14%ABV was the strongest beer available. It is still a BIG beer, even by today's standard and if you're not careful you'll find yourself singing right along with the ending credits!

Can you get a better pairing for Elf? I think not. Santa's Little Helper from Port Brewing is a fantastic beer, though it probably won't help anyone save Christmas. It's pitch black, full of flavor and thick as an Imperial Stout should be. I'm not sure about the helper part, either. After 22oz's, I'm not sure you'll be making Etch A Sketches any faster Buddy and you certainly shouldn't be in charge of any sleigh maintenance.

You may or may not be surprised that there are quite a few A Christmas Story themed beers out there. So many, in fact, it might be helpful to create a whole new sub category in the beer style guidelines. My favorite pairing for this movie is Karbach Brewing's Yule Shoot Your Eye Out. It combines two of the best movie themes, fishnet stockings and target practice. The only thing they missed on the label is "Oh, fudge!", and "Fa, ra, ra, ra, ra", and a decoder ring, and, and, and...

Celebration, Fresh Hop Ale is one of my favorite fresh hopped beers (known by some as wet hopped beer) and nothing cleanses winter spiced, seasonal beers off your palate quite like a crisp, fresh hopped IPA! This beer pairing is pure magic with the villains calling themselves the Wet Bandits and to a lesser extent it also resonates with abundance of poinsettias in the movie. No seriously, watch the movie and count how many poinsettias there are throughout the McCallister home.
