HopHeads, you are doing a great job at picking the winners.  I wasn't sure about some of those picks from last week but that's why I'm leaving the prognosticating up to you. That, and if someone complains about the picks I can always blame the faceless interwebs!-)

There's no two ways about it, since Portside Distillery's debut, they have been unstoppable.  It'll be a tough battle of blue collar beers, who do side with?

Harpoon Brewery debuts this week as they travel to take on Madtree Brewing Co..  Harpoon has a mad list of beers that will be hard for anyone to defeat, but Madtree isn't just anyone.

Reuben's brews is taking their winning streak on the road to Indy where they will challenge Sun King Brewery.  This will be a great matchup of young breweries.

Heavy Seas Beer will be hitting the road as they travel to Miami to take on The Abbey Brewing Co.  Heavy Seas has an incredible line up but that lineup will all be tested by The Abbey's big Belgian Double and Quad.

Big Rip Brewing Co has had a great run since their debut, but Yazoo brewing, and their giant smoked beer named Sue, won't go down without a fight.

Great Divide has been, well unstoppable. However, Deep Ellum Brewing Co has an incredible lineup of beer that just might hand GD their first loss of the season.

Ballast Point debuts this week as they travel up the coast to take on Pacific Coast Brewing Co.  Pacific Coast is looking for redemption this week and Ballast is looking to keep their streak alive.  All this will make for a great beer game.

Both of these breweries are coming off losses last week and neither one is doing very well this season.  Can Heartland's beer pull them outta the basement this week?

Thirsty Bear Brewing Co. debuts this week as they host Karbach Brewing Co.  This should be a good game, Karbach is trying not to make a habit of loosing and Thirsty Bear is looking to start a winning streak of their own.

*Remember* You are voting for a brewery based on the quality of their beer. We don't have enough time in the day to pick spreads or base this on any representative athletic ability.  We are only picking the best brewery/beer lineup in each match up and if that predicts the outcome of the game, then so be it!-)

If you have any food pairing suggestions for any of these games let us know about them in the comment section below!

Week 5 polls will close Thursday, Oct. 4 at 8:00 pm (ET)

Phoenix Ale Brewery debuts this week and will be pitting a small but tasty looking lineup against an undefeated Schlafly.

The undefeated Hinterland Brewery will be hitting the road this week with its formidable line in a matchup against Brugge Brasserie.  On the surface, I would say that Hinterland would walk away with this win; except Brugge Brasserie will be bringing it strong with HopHeadHuddle's first sour beer. "Pooka" is a sour beer brewed with boysenberries.

This is a matchup of two undefeated breweries.  Either way WE win!  You have to check out each lineup.  We could spend a whole season just discussing their beers!

Great Lakes Brewing Co. makes its debut this week. This matchup is all about great lineups and award winning beers!

Undefeated Philadelphia will be going head to head with East End Brewing Co. this week. East End certainly has its work cut out for them but when it comes to sustainable brewing techniques I would match EEBC with craft beer giant New Belgium.

Kind Beers has been struggling since their first week in HopHeadHuddle but I still think their Belgian Style Red Ale can hold its own against the NW giant Elysian Brewing Co.  Elysian will be brining a great lineup that includes their cult favorite Night Owl Pumpkin Ale.
