The folks at Great Divide Brewing Company provided a couple "official" beer pairings for your enjoyment. I love delicate and complex food pairings but I also love the basics: burgers and pizza. And, Denver Pale Ale (DPA) is the perfect pairing with burgers. Its medium body, clean malt profile, and assertive bitterness help cleanse the palate of all the burger's goodness! Bronco BurgerI found this burger recipe and I think it would be just the thing to pair with the DPA. Good ole fashioned beef, a nod to the nearby cattle ranches, topped with pepper jack cheese and jalepenos. Perfect. Click the burger picture or logo below to get the recipe for this delicious burger. This recipe and description come straight from the co-founder and brewmaster of 21st Amendment Brewery (21A), Shaun O'Sullivan. Sully (as he is know to TBN fans) suggests pairing 21A's Bitter American with his Mom's Super Nacho recipe (provided below) which he proudly proclaims is the best he has ever had. Sully thinks this pairing is perfect for watching football because you can enjoy a few Bitter Americans(a session IPA @ 4.4% ABV) and not get too beat-up. Oh, and the nachos are the perfect finger food no to mention delicious. If you have another pairing suggestion for Bitter American or any other 21A beer please leave it in the comment section below.
