You can find out all about their plans by listening to the podcast below but if you just want to know when they will open, then plan on attending a grand opening celebration sometime in late June or early July!

Scroll down for some construction pictures and check back from time to time as I will be adding update pictures as well.

Recently, I upgraded my home studio with a Behringer mixing board and Sennheiser microphones.  I did this for two reasons.  First, I wanted to start producing some professional quality podcasts.  The mixing board and microphones make professionally produced audio possible.  Secondly, I wanted to be able to go to remote locations and do live broadcasts (video and audio).  That is why I upgraded to the USB soundboard so I could run the audio through my computer and directly into my broadcasting/recording software.
I didn't, however, think about how this would create better audio on my phone. The best part is it is so easy to do.  As with anything, the higher quality equipment and the better your audio will sound so don't skimp on the microphones.  These are Sennheiser e835's and they are wonderful. With a few adaptors, cables and microphones you will be ready to go!
Connect your microphone to and XLR cable, connect cable into one of the Y adapters (repeat for the other microphone if needed) and connect the Y-adapter to the iPhone/XLR adapter.  Plug the iPhone/Xlr adapter into your phone and that is it!

This beer was originally brewed to commemorate my daughter's first birthday and has become a spring/birthday commemorative beer ever since. It has been modified several times in the last 10 years and as my daughter would say, and I tend to agree with her, it has improved with age just like me!

A show of firsts! This is our first 90 minute show, we stream video for the first time and Joby and I host our first distillery. Alex Villicana, owner of Re:Find distillery, tells us how he turns "extra" grape juice into Brandy, Vodka and Gin.  He walks us through the distillation process and lets us taste as many samples as we can handle!

In spite of the hooligans outside the studio, we had a great show with the Phestival Barrel House brothers.  They are opening a new sour beer brewery in Moorpark, CA and they've got a great story and even better beer!

This is the 3rd or 4th version of this beer and it is finally where I want it to be.  The finished beer has a great tart roasty flavor up front that quickly gives way to an assertive but delicious hop flavor.

I don't know why I didn't think about putting rye into my double IPA recipe before! I am loving this beer.

I have been working through some efficiency problems lately but I am getting back on track and you can see I had a 70% efficiency for this batch. My goal is to get back to 78-80% and that will bump the ABV by another point or two.

The only error in the recipe below is that my final gravity was 1.008. I like my big beers dangerously drinkable.

Joby and I discuss the new perfect glass for IPA's and speculate on whether it is ribbed for his or for her pleasure.

Kevin Pratt, brewmaster from Santa Barbra Brewing Company, is our guest for the interview. Learn how a metal band roadie became a brewmaster.
