Sexy or Sassy? It's hard to tell, but I do find it interesting that an obvious gold digger can be so persuasive. Yes, baby, I will buy you a convertible.

Baby It's Cold Outside
Baby, It's Cold Outside is one of my favorite holiday songs. I enjoy just about every version of this song and that's why I included several of them below.
| The classic version with some nice trivia before the tune starts. If you've been following this series then you know how much I like the movie Elf and I think the Jovie and Buddy version in the movie is the best but I'll take Zooey's voice either way! I was not aware of this version until I started researching this pairing. I really like the gender role mixup and if there is a couple that could pull it off, it's certainly Lady Gaga and Joseph Grodon-Levitt. | 
Well baby, when it's cold outside no other beer pairs better with that kind of weather than New Belgium's 2 Below Ale. This beer started out as a small batch tribute to a local mail carrier who delivered the mail on skies. When NB decided to test the beer in other markets, I happened to stumble upon it in Snohomish, WA. some 10 years ago. Since then, 2 Below is a seasonal I look forward to every year! |
Christmas in Hollis
The first and maybe the only rap Christmas Song - I hope it is the only one, anyway. Now before I start getting hate mail, just know that I am a huge RunDMC fan, I love old school rap.
| I love the campy acting and animation in this video especially the part where the mom (probably one of the guys in drag) is chasing the bad elf around the living room in Benny Hill fashion. And just in case you don't know who, what or where Hollis Queens here is a Wikipedia pagejust for you! | 
Just to play on the whole bad elf theme from the video I needed to pair Seriously Bad Elf from the UK based Ridgeway Brewing. After all, this video wouldn't have been as entertaining without a seriously bad elf. |
Greensleeves/What Child is This?
| This traditional Christmas carol is near and dear to my heart. I liked the song well before high school and so I was super stoked when, as a mediocre first chair saxophonist, I got to play the main melody solo in my high school concert band | 
I'm going the route of "What Child is This?" for this beer pairing and I found a wonderful beer that will warm you from the inside out, on these cold December nights. A 9.5% Tripel aged for three months with sour cherries and raspberries. This beer will put you in a Ray Charles kinda mood. His version of this song is my favorite vocal rendition. |
Santa Lost His Mojo
| Santa Lost His Mojo by Jeremy Lister became one of my favorite Christmas songs the first time I heard it. This is just the tune, to get you looking on the bright side of holiday shopping and merry making. | 
Mojo from Boulder Brewing Company was one the first IPA's I could get my hands on in South Dakota and it carries much of the burden for turning me into HopHeadSaid. 
If you find your mojo needs a little more kickstarting, you should try Mojo Risin'. At 10%, this beer will raise your mojo, ehem, quickly. |
