Day #3 of my beer pairing advent calendar brings you the Peanuts Classic, A Charlie Brown Christmas. Perhaps the most melancholy Christmas movie ever which is why I think the only reason we keep coming back to this Emmy and Peabody Award Winner (that's what the cover says) is the soundtrack. I heard it on the radio today and could stop doing that side to side "Lurch" head bob thing that always turns up whenever Schroeder plays his piano.

I was intrigued by the name initially but the description sold me on this pairing. Evergreen needles were used in the brewing of this beer. I can imagine that if you empty the dredges out of each beer you might find enough needles to recreate Charlie Brown's sad, but proud, tree. |
